There's a hole in my stockings, dear 'liza, dear 'liza...

Yesterday, I was inspired by a hole in my tights. I decided to wear one of my favorite outfits, but this time, minus the boots that I wore in this post: Who says you can't get anything for $1.00?

One of my favorite outfits (and best bargains) with a twist for spring
Because I wasn't quite ready for bare legs and flip-flops, I dug through my endless supply of tights to find the perfect shade of blue, but to my dismay, the one and only pair I found had a hole right below the ankle. So, out of "sheer" (;-) necessity, I folded the tights in half, and with a sharp pair of scissors, I cut them right above hole. Voila! No more hole and an instant pair of footless tights.

I love the look. I got several compliments throughout the day, and I was surprised at how well they held up... no snags, no rolling.

Have you ever modified a piece of clothing, out of necessity, or just to get the look you want?
